KickLog Terms of Use
KickLog records football matches with Apple Watch and shows analysis on iPhone. It is provided by KickLog ("we", "us"). By downloading or using KickLog, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA referred to below.
1. Apple's Standard EULA
- KickLog is distributed through the App Store and is subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).
- These Terms supplement the Standard EULA with rules specific to KickLog. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails to the extent permitted by law.
2. Your data
- We run no servers of our own. Your match and health data stays on your devices. When iCloud sync is on, some of it syncs to your own private iCloud database. We cannot access your iCloud content.
- Health data such as heart rate, calories, age, and body mass does not go to iCloud. For what data is used, where it is stored, what is sent to Apple, and how to delete it, see the Privacy Policy. If the two differ, the Privacy Policy prevails.
- Backup files you export are not password-protected. Keep them safe.
- You are responsible for the security of your devices, your Apple Account, and your backup files.
3. Not medical advice; play safely
- KickLog is not a medical device and does not provide medical, diagnostic, or training advice.
- Distance, speed, sprints, heat maps, heart-rate zones, calories, and ratings are estimates from Apple Watch sensors and our algorithms. They may differ from reality and are affected by how the Watch is worn, GPS signal, and the pitch.
- Play within your limits. Stop and consult a doctor if you feel unwell. Stay aware of play on the pitch; don't let your Watch or iPhone distract you.
4. KickLog Pro (subscription)
- KickLog Pro is offered through Apple In-App Purchase as a yearly or monthly plan. Prices are the App Store prices shown in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, it renews at the same price and period within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial, subject to the eligibility Apple shows. After the free trial, it becomes a yearly subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
- Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions, or in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple. We can't issue refunds directly; request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, use Restore on the subscription page. Redeem codes follow Apple's rules.
- When a subscription ends or is cancelled, Pro features lock again. Your match records are not deleted, and data created while you were a member stays on your devices and in your iCloud.
- We may change what KickLog Pro includes or its price. Price changes are notified in advance under Apple's rules, and you can choose not to renew.
5. Trial matches and older matches
- For free users, your first 3 qualifying matches are trial matches with the full Pro single-match report, kept permanently. Qualifying means recorded with KickLog, finished, and counted in home trends (at least 20 minutes of active time). Third-party imports don't count.
- Trial slots are stored with your Apple Account. Deleting a match does not give a slot back, and reinstalling does not reset them.
- Trial matches unlock only their own single-match reports. Home trends over 10 or 25 matches, season and month overviews, export, and other Pro features still require KickLog Pro.
- Matches recorded before version 1.0 (older matches) keep their full single-match report permanently.
6. Acceptable use
When using KickLog, you agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's privacy, likeness, copyright, trademark, or other rights, including sharing someone else's match data or location without consent;
- reverse engineer or crack the app, bypass Pro or trial-match limits, or tamper with match records or backup files (matches judged tampered are excluded from stats);
- use KickLog or its output to mislead others, such as by faking match data.
7. Intellectual property
- The KickLog app, name, icons, interface design, and text belong to KickLog ("we", "us") and are protected by law.
- Your match data is yours. You are free to use share cards and long images you save or share.
- Apple, Apple Watch, iPhone, iCloud, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. KickLog is not made or endorsed by Apple.
8. AI-generated content
- The background image on the subscription page is AI-generated. Its file metadata labels it as AI-generated.
- It is a decorative night-match silhouette and does not depict any real player, team, or stadium.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- KickLog is provided "as is". We work to keep the app available and the data accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that estimates fit any particular purpose.
- Back up regularly. If data is lost through device failure, iCloud problems, deleting the app, or other causes, we cannot recover data on your devices or in your iCloud.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, or loss of data, arising from using or being unable to use KickLog. Liability that cannot be excluded by law is not affected.
10. Changes
We will update the effective date and notify you in the app when these Terms change materially. If you keep using KickLog after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
Governing Law: These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, are governed by applicable law. Any dispute will first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if that fails, it will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
